The Ballad Of Lucy Whipple is a brilliant and colorful story about a girl who is whisked away from her home by her mother to the gold rush in California, where her life is turned upside down. She faces trials that make you feel for the young teenager, and root for her to find a way back home or a way to live where fate has taken her.

Alices Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass

Alice In Wonderland was a very confusing book for me when I was a child, but now that I'm an adult, it's my all time favorite book. The zany characters and ridiculous conversations delight both the child and the adult in me. I find it amazing that a book written so long ago can still be related to by the people of today.

We know Mary Tudor as the infamous "Bloody Mary", one of the cruelest monarchs in England's history, but what was the cause of her tyranny? Carolyn Meyers mixes historical fact with brilliant storytelling to make the reading audience feel sympathy and compassion for "Bloody Mary".
