loved this book! It was very realistic and remianed me of some of my old friends. The author did a great job of poetring the characters and their feelings and emtions. I felt really bad foe Blair when she found out that her mom was getting married to a fat and loud man. These books are a little racey, but they are really good. I recomend them

You're the One That I Want

I recently started reading the gossip girl series and finished the first 6 books in 1 week! I really enjoyed this book as I did all the others. The best thing about this book is Nate and Blair finally "do it" but i couldn't help but feel sorry for Blair because no matter how hard she tries she always comes in second best to Serena. She and Serena both apply to a number of Colleges and Serena gets into all of them (including Yale) despite her bad grades and the fact that she got kicked out of boarding school where as Blair gets into one school and is waitlisted at Yale which totally breaks her heart. Nate gets into Yale as well and sleeps with Brigid his Brown interviewer so as you can see Blair is not the lucky one in this book. I would definetly recomend this book to girls who are just above twelve but I suggest you read the first five books first.

Gossip Girl 03 All I Want Is Everything

do not read these books to stimulate my mind. I read them because they are amusing. It's all fiction and most Gossip Girl readers are very aware of that. Just because these books contain sexual elements, drugs, whatever, does not mean all girls out there will try it all! I read Gossip Girl, but there is no way I'm ever going to be doing anything Serena or Blair or Jenny are doing. Hello? Girls are not complete idiots who will try and do whatever we read about. Most of us have brains. Gossip Girl contains nothing worse than a movie an average female teenager would watch anyway. Lighten up. All I Want Is Everything is truly a funny, light read, great if you need some cheering up. If you want something heavier, serious, and still awesome, try Megan McCafferty or Ann Brashares

Gossip Girl 07 Nobody Does It Better
by

For those of you that are familiar with the Gossip Girl series this is one of the better ones because some of the characters act slightly differently then you would expect them to and this adds a nice change. Everything starts off great with Blair and Nate together and with Blair still best friends with Serena. Then Nate steals his parents boat and he and a group of druggies go on a trip to Bermuda. Nate realizes too late that he would rather be with Blair and when he gets enough sense to turn the boat around he finds out that his parents are mad at him as well. Now I won't tell you the whole story but what I will tell you is that: Blair moves to the Plaza hotel then to Vanessa's house Nate gets grounded for stealing the boat but sneaks out of the house anyway (Whats new about that!?!) Blair gets accpted to Yale (Yay!!) AND Serena and Nate kiss (by accident) and Blair walks in on them! All in all this was a good book and I definitely recommend it to anyone who has read the other 7 books

Gossip Girl 08 Nothing Can Keep Us Toget

Another fantastic novel by Cecily! I loved this book. I read til 1:00 every night because I just couldn't put it down! This was definitely one of my favorites because throughout (basicly) the whole book, Serena and Nate were together. Although they're not my favorite couple, it's much better than just having Nate put with some random girl. Truthfully, I would have loved to see more of Blair-less of Serena. I just like Blair the best. I'm actually going to be quite relieved if Jenny isn't in the books anymore. I'm not HER biggest fan! But I really did like this book. Except, the kiss at the end was kind of uncalled for...

Gossip Girl 01
by

In the book Gossip Girl by Cecily Von Ziegesar, the boys and girls are equal here in the big city of New York. Their morning consists of going to private school, picking up some gossip, and doing the things that seem to be "cool". While when the sun goes down and school work comes to an end they party and do what grown ups are suppose to do then go to school the next morning with a hangover. Its senior year this year for all of them and they're going off to college. Some are ready while others are actually too caught up on there high school life to not care about anyone else's or even moving beyond. Blair and Serena are the two main characters. They are best friends but Serena gets more attention than Blair; she always comes second. Gossip starts to fly quickly between the Constance girls and boys. Whether someone knew what it was about or not, even ones who are obsessed start to wonder if all these rumors are true. With friendships going down hill, cheaters, and even making new friends, the gossip doesn't end here. The beginning of the book starts off with Serena Van Der Woodsen coming home from boarding school because she got kicked out. This becomes Blair's worse nightmare because ever since Serena left Blair has been the center of attention, to even the fact she needs to lose her virginity to Nate her boyfriend. She begins to turn their friends against her with the nasty rumors and as you know one thing leads to another. The boys who are in love with Serena think twice about how she really is, looks are deceiving. As for Jenny and Dan they have admired Serena for years. In the whole plot of the book good verses evil is a good setting, especially for the up coming series of this book. The author doesn't just show you how life in the big city have luxury things all your life can be like but she shows you that normal humans, especially teenager girls have difficult lives. Also the fact that girls who seem to have everything are even more scandalous especially between a boy. She shows it very well on how she brings each character out it captures the reader and even the text itself. Also where she has two conflicts going on in one book she as a smooth transition between both. There is nothing to improve on this novel that could possibly be. This is well written and even the vivid pictures you capture from reading is awesome. This is a novel to a successful series of Gossip Girls. Overall the novel Gossip Girl is highly recommended not just for teenagers but also just for a good laugh sitting on the edge of your chair or maybe for a weekend get away book. The author does an incredible job displaying girls and their typical day.

okay, i admit, gossip girl is dirty. but like it says in one of the books 'gossip is sexy, gossip is good, not everybody does it,but everybody should!'. my older sister-shez thirty-gave me six of the first books for my eleventh birthday. and i didnt even ask for them. so i guess she found them suitable. unlike some people my age, i actually understand what goes on in the books and i dont think any of the characters are rolemodels. i mean seriously, they are bytches. anyway, i think cecily von ziegesar is a great author and i cant wait to get my hands on #10 Would I Lie to You. im gonna ask my mom to buy me the two It Girl books cuz i reli lyk jenny's character. well, hope my review helps ya!

Gossip Girl 04 Because Im Worth It
by
Cecily Von Ziegesar

In the fourth installment of Gossip Girl things are about to drastically change. These rich, beautiful, wild life Upper EastSide New York kids are still up to their backstabbling, malicious ways but this time life is gonna throw them some curveballs. Blair is still waiting to see if she'll be accepted by Yale but after the whole interview mess and accidental affair with an older man things don't look so great, but meanwhile her obsession with ex-boyfriend Nate continues, though she is finding new avenues in her life, including letting go of her major Audrey Hepburn obssesion. Yeah, bet we expected that. Nate himself is turning over a new leaf after getting busted for drugs. He is sent to counseling where he saves a girl who overdoses. A drugged Snow White beauty would be a nice way to describe her and it looks like Nate's romantic status is headed in a different direction. More emphasis is put into Dan and Vannessa's relationship, and less on Serena, though I find her increasingly annoying. Dan, the romantic poet gets his poem published in the New Yorker somewhat by accident and then meets a yellow toothed lady whom he goes off and has an affair with. Call that messed up! Serena and Aaron are finally an item, but who knows how long that will last knowing Serena...Jen is moving on to a new man since Dan no longer seems to have time for her...Things are changing and the scandals/soap opera is getting weirder by the minute but the biggest question is still: Who is Gossip Girl? Could it be someone we least expect??? A definite must read though not as good as the previous few. Some storylines were a bit dull but still not one to miss:) Probably not your mother's favorite cup of tea but who can resist some guilty pleasure?

Clique 02 Best Friends For Never

i love this book. This is were claire and massie finaly start to act nice to each other. It is all thanks to massie, dylan, alesha, and, kristen for wering skanky halloween costumes to shcool. OCD is going uniform, but not ittchy nun uniforms. The students have to design them themselves. The wining design is the new uniform for OCD. Massie, Kristen, dylan, and claire end up working together which leads to the end of an old freindship and a begining of a new one. love this series and so should you. I dont know why all the adults are dissing this series. It dosnt promote cliques in any way, it just tells you who mean and desperate people can be. This book also shows that not everybody in cliques are evil. Most the girls in this series act snoby but can be really nice if you look past some of their supperfical ways. If you did not like the first one and then gave up on the series you cant really judge the series. Just like in real life their are ups and downs, and if you dont like this book its like hating your life beacuse these books are so true and can teach you alot.
