Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

The first time I read Blood and Chocolate I was in eight gade. I fell in love with the story. As soon as I finished the book I had to go out and buy it. This is a story about a young girl who is a werewolf. She tries to fit in with the humans, but feels like she doesn't belong. She ends up falling in love with a human. This book is good for young teenage girls. The story is worth reading several times. But the only thing that I felt dissapointed about was the ending. She leaves you with a wanting of more. When you are done reading you will frantcialy look to see if there is a second book. But to your disappointment there is none.

Do you like myths and Legends?? Then EverWorld is the series for you. Throughout the series you meet vikings, greek gods, knights, and much much more. Follow these kids as they journey through a world that is so diffrent from their own.

Have you ever read or wanted to read a book that feels like it was pulled straight out of someones dreams or nightmares? This book is just that. When I read the book, I had to reread it to make sense of some of the things that had happened in the book. This book is trually an extraordinary book. I recommened this book to anyone who wants to go into a fantasy world.

I could not put this book down. This book was so intriguing. I went to the library two hours later after starting the first book, just so I could get the next one. I would recommend this to anyone who loves books about pirates. This book is especially good for teenage girls, because they can live through Jacky?s eyes.
