Lost in Shangri La The Epic True Story of a Plane Crash Into the Stone Age
by
Mitchell Zuckoff
Stephen Kahn
, April 11, 2012
Historical writing at its finest, this book combines a a suspenseful tale of "will they survive" with an enlightening and ironic portrait of modern civilization (American forces during World War II trying to rescue survivors from a plane crash in New Guinea mountain jungles) meeting "primitive" stone age warriors. Engineering ingenuity, anthropological insight -- this yarn covers a lot of bases.

Depression Cure The 6 Step Program to Beat Depression without Drugs
by
Stephen S Ilardi
Stephen Kahn
, February 17, 2011
In today's modern world, 1 out of 4 people are drowning in a quicksand called Depression. The typical "lifelines," thrown to people are antidepressant drugs. Sometimes they save people; often they leave them deeper in the downpull of the depression quicksand. Stephen Ilardi, associate professor of clinical psychology at the University of Kansas, finds the basis for effective (scientifically verified) treatment of depression in our ancient hunter-gatherer past.
