Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

Inheritance Cycle 01 Eragon

This book was just as good as any of the Wheel Of Time books, it pulled me in from the start. I liked the fact that Eragon thought he would always be afarmboy, but he found Saphira's Egg and thought that it was a rock. I also like that Brom was a dragon rider the whole time, but didn't reveal it to Eragon until the very end. The Ra'zac in the story present a threat now and again, but Murtaugh finally shows and saves them. The visions that Eragon kept having of Arya are ironic to me. he thinks he is seeing the girl of his dreams, but he is seeing a girl that he most likely won't get.

This is more than a five-star book, wish I could put more stars on. I haveto admit, the book was a little boring, up until the trollocs attacked Rand at his house, then it took off. My friends started reading it a little after i did, and this book i a great book by al accounts; the darkness and mystery of Shadar Logoth and beyond is enthralling. I reccomend this to any that liked the Lord Of The RIngs, Harry Potter, or Fogotten Realms books even barely.

Homeland Legend Of Drizzt 01

This book was a very thrilling book to read. I literally couldn't bring myself to stop until it was finished. the excitement between Drizzt Do'Urden and the rest of the drow of Menzoberranzan is catching. Salvatore made a keeper, Homeland. I can't wait to read Exile.
