Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. Pelican Point: A Webb Sawyer Mystery
by

Pelican Point is a GREAT story with the continuing saga of Webb Sawyer and his special way of having trouble find him. From the opening pages of a young girl's horrible demise, through Web's son being accused of murder, to his mission on locating his own missing son. The pages turn rapidly, and the plot thickens. Each stone that's turned over, will lead to an ending that no one expects.

The Spanish Game

Douglas Quinn has done it again, with another fast pace action thriller. I had a really hard time putting the book down, once I started reading the first chapter. This is the continuing saga of the Ellis Family, as they move forward in their lives, since that tragic day on the plane 8 years ago. Jennifer Ellis is a very business savvy young woman now, and she's determined to protect her father from the dangers that have resurfaced recently. I enjoyed this book as much as the first, and would recommend it to anyone that loves a good ride.
