Game of Thrones 4 Copy Boxed Set Song of Ice & Fire Series

George R R Martin

This series is fabulous. My husband and I watched the TV series of the first book, and then I searched for and found the boxed set, and read all of it voraciously. George R R Martin has been compared with J R R Tolkien, and I would add Ursula K Le Quin, and Stephen R Donaldson. The best of the best in fantasy writers.

Mind Wide Open Your Brain & the Neuroscience of Everyday Life
by

I read this book in 2005 and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is comparable to a Nova programme on PBS: a friendly reporter doing a [kw]science[/kw] documentary on [kw]brain-imaging technology[/kw] and the [t]chemicals[/t] involved in many aspects of [t]psychology[/t], for example; pain-management, [kw]embarassment[/kw], the [kw]learning process[/kw]. Definitely an engaging read for anyone who wants to [kw]get to know themselves better[/kw]!
