In the second of four books you pick up two months after the "death" of Elizabeth. This is a book filled with romantic moments, and heartbreaking tragedies. Godberson is a incredibly talented writer, who can get anyone to fall in love with her writing. While the changes in Diana Holland's personality can be annoying and I miss the old Diana, the ending lines in the book make me hopeful for some amazingly good sister scheming in Envy! A must read for everyone, no matter age.

Belle: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast
by
Cameron Dokey
jumpergirl3005
, May 17, 2009
While this is not my favorite book in the series it is still one of the best. The plot line was good, but the ending could have used some work. But again it is a new twist on an old favorite. While some parts could have been rewritten the book it still good and the author has done a good job. It does drag on in places and takes a while before the Beast ever even comes into the story. Worth reading though.

This is one of my favorite books in the once upon a time series. You do not really even relize that it's about little red riding hood at first. It is a new classic that trumps the old one! A must read. You follow Ruth and the trials she has to go through and then later William. A great read, and a must for all teenage girls!

Being the third book in a triology, it is acually pretty good. The first two were amazing. This one picks up two months after the second leave off. With Zane still dealing from complications from taking the bad pill, Tally and Shay and other Crims now the special elitie Cutters of Special Circumstances. This book has everything, love, war, and tragedy. A must read if you read the first two. Like them, it is interesting, devulges more about the past, well written, and full of surprises. This book has an ending you really didn't see coming. Everyone should read these books.

While this is not the best book in the Once Upon a Time series it is a really good and very enjoyable book. The plot line is great, while the main character can be kind of annoying, you find yourself likeing Ray, a supporting character a lot more. The book is well written and entertaining. I have never heard this fairy tale before so it was something totally new for me! If you have read the other books in the series you are gurenteed to like this one. A much more modern fairy tale for the American dream!

This is the second book in the series. It picks up one month after Uglies leaves off. It is just as interesting and well written as the first book. We learn a lot in the first book and this one continues to reveal new things. As Tally fights for the cure and freedom, we learn more about why the "government" puts lesions on the brain, why Special Circumstances is so interested, and how far some will go for their own cure. A wonderful book, that will really make you think. A must read for all teenagers.

Why this wasn't the best book in the series, Caroyln Meyer still delivers a wonderfully written book. Just as believeable and historically accurate as the others in the series. If you have read the first three or just love historical fiction this is a must read. You do not have to read any of the books in order, and really seem to go out of order any way.

I love Anna Godberson. This novel is juyst as amazing and wonderful as the two before it. With just as many surprises and twists. You spent the first book rooting for Elizabeth, the second hating Penelope and the third rooting for Diana. This author should never quit writing. Envy will leave readers wanting more from this author and in the series.

by
Carolyn Meyer

Meyer delivers another wonderful book. In the first you see life through mary's eyes, but in this novel you see life through zelizabeth's eyes. You see events that helped shape her into the magnificant queen she became. Your symphathy shifts from Mary to Elizabeth as the book goes on, and you see just how much Mary is like her father as the book proceeds and Mary becomes Queen. The book is well written and the perfect read if you like historical fiction.

A wonderful book. Although it was written in the 90's I think that people can still use it for today. It goes through a lot of information and you can really see yourself applying it to your own life. It does not matter your annual income this book applys to everyone. This books cover almost all aspects. it goes ove their mindset, what they spend their money on, what they splurge on, who mainly handles the buget, careers and several other important factors. You really might not relize that you may have a millionaire next door just by looking at them. A wonderful book that everyone should read! No matter their age.

A wonderful book that gives a whole new and wonderful twist on a old fairy tale. It follows the life of Cedrillon (French version of Cinderella) through her life growing up after her father abandonded her. It also has her childhood friend and "brother" Raoul, who was brought to Cedrillon's father's estate to raised along side her. Then 15 years later, her father has been foced to re-marry and has shipped his new wife off to the estate three days travel from the royal palace. Without telling her that she has a new stepdaughter. A wonderful made remake, I found it much more injoyable than the orginal versions I have heard. It only took me two days to read, I could't put it down!

Black Elk Speaks is about the life of Black Elk. It starts when he is a young boy and continues on through his life. The story follows his life growing up and how the white settlers effected Native Americans. It will really help you see how unfair and cruel the white settlers were to the Native Americans. We have always heard about how it ws the Native Americans fault for the war but really the white settlers acted first. A touching and heartbreaking tale of how white settlers broke the Native American dream and spirit.

Another great book from Jean Craighead George! Julie of the Wolves is about a teenage eskimo girl who runs away from a arranged marriage to a guy she "dislikes". Julie runs away into the arctic plains in Alaska, trying to find her way to another town, but she becomes lost along the way. When she makes a temperairy camp her new neibors is a pack of wolves. When she befriends the puppies of the pack, who later grow up and take over the pack, and now Julie has a life long bond with them. A touching and wonderfully written book. Great for all ages and a big hit with animals lovers.

Jean Craighead George is one of my favorite authors. She really transports you to another time and place. My Side of the Mountain is about a teenage boy who runs away from home to live on the catskills (a mountain range). The book tells you about how he survives and adapts to living in the wild all alone. Not to mention his trusty peregrine falcon, Frightful! A really great book, especially for nature loving children or teenagers!

Shadow Horse is a good book. It had an ending I never saw coming! It's a great book, not for the young horse lover, but more for the teen horse lover and older. It's plot line is good, and the book is well written. Alison Hart really knows how to write a good and intresting horse book, with a witty, smart, and strong main heroine.

Victoria Holmes is definatley a great writer. Rider In The Dark focuses on both the horse and the main character, Helena. Helena is the daughter of a magastrate, so when it comes to riding she rides side-saddle. When a new horse comes to the manor she is drawn to him. She rides astride the horse in the cover of the night, dressed as a boy. An exciting book, written by a wonderful author who will transport you back in time, to meet a wonderful young lady, and a wonderful horse.

This was a great book! I didn't really expect it to be this good but it was. The main character is strong, funny and determined. It also has some good comedy in it that will have you laughing out loud! If your into horses, like I am, then it's an ok horse book, you can definatly relate to the women who work at the ranch. But you can also relate to their lives outside of horses. A really great read!

Phantom Stallion Wild Horse Island 01 Horse Charmer

A good book. It's a spin off of Terri Farley's first series, Phantom Stallion. Hoku the main horse character is the half sister of the Phantom. She is adopted by Darby Carter, who then goes to live with her grandfather in Hawaii, Hoku also makes the move. It is not as good as the orginal series but still worth reading. It's a change from Terri's usual characters, although Kit Ely is in this new spin off series! A new refreshing series by Terri Farley!

Has a nice section of different ailments such as colic. All in all a nice book for a teenager or pre-teen to read, or a beg. adult.

English Riding 2nd Edition

A good book. It does use some horse terminology that a beg. might not understand, but most of those words can be found in the back dictioary part. It goes over basic things, such as tack, mounting/dismounting, finding the right instructor or stable, grooming, different styles of english riding, ect. A nice book, that is easy to understand, but i suggest you read the dictionary in the back first.
