Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. Magician: Apprentice

Grade: A+ Characters: A- Plot: A Action: B Enjoyability: A+ Readability: A Romance: A+ Ages: PG-13 This starts a wonderful series, though a lot was great, there were a few things that left me wondering. Why did each chapter jump around? Enough critisicm, people who like fantasy will quickly jump into this book and will not want to put it down. After, you will already have the second, and jump to it right away.

Edge Chronicles 04 Curse Of The Gloamglozer
by

Another fantastic novel by the famous Paul Stewart. I loved it. You'll stay up til midnight and still be wide awake, awaiting the next adventure. But, there were some problems I didn't like in the books. 1). Twig gets pulled out for a new character named Quint. 2). The Deepwoods, Twighlight woods, and other places are only mentioned. The whole book takes place in Sanctaphrax. 3). Stewart brings the gloamglozer back, when it wasn't a big deal in the other books (but a little deal in the first).

First off: The Giver is a great book, don't get me wrong, but when your a fantasy reader reading a fiction book in class at school, It doesn't help you to get interested. It had great stuff, but it is a one-time-read book

Rangers Apprentice 02 The Burning Bridge

I thought the first was amazing! The second: Twice as good. I literally read two hours a day in the summer when schools out. It is a book you will never want to put down. I was up till midnight reading it. This book is for fantasy lovers, due to the created creatures, medival period, and no modern technology. If you read the first, and you thought it was just good, Grab the second because you will read it over and over again throughout the years.
