So nice to find a book full of rich characters! This book is about an underdog basketball team from a small Montana high school, but the story lets the reader in on the lives of many personalities that live in the tiny town. The coach is trying to start life again after a tragedy,a local man is waiting for his one true love to return, a grandmother takes in her teenage grandson while his parents deal with divorce, and a player tries to survive his alcoholic and sometimes violent father. A wonderfully written story about perseverence.

My 10-year-old son loves this book! He has checked it out at the library over and over so he can read it over and over. I'm finally buying him his own copy. It is a fun sci-fi/fantasy book. Good for boys or girls.
