This a special book written compellingly from an autobiographical perspective about the scars of a hard childhood but also the love this person has to give. It made me cry pretty intensely without giving away about what and, for that reason, I consider it a keeper and standing out of all the books I read in 2010.

This is a very good effort for a social worker to write about her own history authentically. It made me cry, actually weep and I found it meaningful. It was the best book for me of 2010 because so much emotion came up for me. Lots to think about in this little book. Great job.
