Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

I read this book while on vacation and I enjoyed every minute of it. I felt a lot of what the character was going through which made me enjoy it even more. There were times where I had to actually put the book down because I was in tears (which is a first for me). With history being a guiding light it is a coming of age story.

Wow! Was my first expression when I finished this book. I laughed and empathized with the plight of the main character. It is a well-written short read filled with all information relative to our modern-day work related dissatisfaction and how to beat it, not let it beat you. I have been recommending this book to everyone, hourly employees and managers alike.

I couldn't put this book down! It took about a month to actually read since I applied the principles to my life as I was reading. I look forward to reading her book on under earning as I have already read Prince Charming Isn't Coming. Both of these books have changed my life because they changed my thinking. I recommend this book to anyone that is "stuck" and has many unanswered questions. This book will give the accountability and boost you'll need to move into greater dimensions of life.

I have to say this book truly changes lives! After reading this book I had a totally different outlook on the "quick eats". It is a well written account of what really goes on behind the fast food eatery doors!

I really enjoyed this book! Before I used this manual my level was pretty poor, but now I find I am doing exceptionally well in my Lit class...I recommend this book for everyone.
