Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Richard Pevear, Larissa Volokhonsky
	Celia , November 05, 2010 This may be the best book I've ever read, and I've been hiding my face between the covers for forty years... The thing that amazes me most about this novel is that it seems to me completely modern, as if it could have been written last year, rather than so long ago. The problems, sorrows and joys that Tolstoy captures are as much with us now as they were in his time. I think Tolstoy must have been a heck of a guy.

Coming Up for Air by George Orwell
	Celia , September 02, 2008 Terrific book. Reading "Coming up for Air" gave me unexpected insights into my Grandfather's world in pre-WWII London. After I finished this one I ordered several more Orwell titles!
