Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. Dragons Bait

I HIGHLY recommend buying this book. Located in the time of the Salem Witch Trials, Alys is being accused of being a witch. For those of you who know what happens to those women who get accused of being a witch-they choose the idea of offering her to a dragon who's been terrorizing the town (eating their dogs and horses and sometimes, a person) as a peace offering. Overall, I would VERY much recommend this book.

A very nice book indeed. There are many unsuspected moments in this book, which are very uncommon in books. I greatly enjoyed reading this book, it has a perfect mixture of fantasy and adventure.

Flora Segunda started off pretty boring and ended very nicely. I'm actually impressed by the fact that this is the author's first book. Seems more like she wrote several books ahead of this one. Overall, this is a nice book, you should get it.

So-and-so. I'd reccamend this for the younger audience though. Pretty much the words just plainly flow across the page as you read it. Read it if you just started mystery/horror.

Pick of the litter... An exciting adventure you will enjoy. ^^ Yuriko-san has really done it now! Note: you have to know some Japanese words and ect. to read this, or else you won't understand some parts of it!

Love CLAMP's stories, they are soo addicting! For all you Cardcaptor Sakura lovers (know there's alot of you), I know you've been depressed that the CCS was finished, but no fear! Tsubasa RESEVoir CHRoNiCLe is here! Not exactly the same charactor like in CCS, TRC is pretty much different, but better! Must read! o^-^o

I couldn't put this book down, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't do anything until I finished it. Not a girly-girl story, nope, not in this book. This is where girls kick butt! Kiki Strike includes helpful tips at the end of the chapter that helped me 10 outta 10 solutions in real life. You have to read this book. Period. :D

One of the best book series you can EVER get your paws on. KIKI STRIKES AGAIN!!! This time it's not Kiki, it's Oona. Her father plans on kidnapping her, and poisoning her! It's up to the Irregulars to save their precious member, or else it's too late! See what's next when you read the book!

I first read it out of boredom. It was awesome! Whenever I read another book, I would always think of The Last Dragon, and compare the differences. I carried this book everywhere I went so that I can read it any time. I read it soo many times that I memorized the plot, but I'm still reading it! A MUST read book.

I read this book when I was what, first grade? My sister first introduced me to this book saying "You HAVE TO read it, it's sooo good." So, I tried it. At first I didn't want to read, because I liked to spend my time doing other things other than reading. When I finished the first chapter, I was hooked, I couldn't stop. Which is actually rare when I was seven. I hated reading then, I would always makeup something to stop reading. I still remember how the words pulled me into their world. It's hard to come by a book like this. I'm planning on reading it again.
