I'm surprised that I didn't lose my dinner while reading this book. And am also thankful that I didn't buy it - a shout out to my local library! Fist bump included. It reminds me of a Danielle Steel/Nicholas Sparks puke fest. I thought that it would be okay - listening to it on my commute from home to work - it was until I got a creep and uneasy feeling about the plot. May - December romance and add a few years while you are at it. As I always say , "there's better shit to read!" Peace out! Fist bump.

I was at my local library and in need of a book on cd. I had seen this one twice and thought why not. Well... I am glad that I did! Normally, I avoid these types of genre and stick to more mainstream fiction. Once I started this book, I got sucked in and was on the hunt with Scott, Nora, and Hopper. I loved all the twists and turns that the author lead you down. I loved the parts about Scott and his daughter. Just when I thought the ending would be one thing, I was so wrong. I also loved the paring of the book and the reader for the audiobook. Great pick! Thank goodness for this book - i will be expanding my reading picks.

Bad Monkey
by
Hiaasen, Carl
Annelle
, August 04, 2013
'Bad Monkey,' is Hiaasen at his best! South Florida. We meet, Andrew Yancy, a former and disgraced sheriff’s detective, who after an unfortunate incident has been demoted to restaurant inspector of Monroe County (unofficially), where the owners will bribe him to keep their establishments open, but becomes a great weight loss plan for him. Yancy is pulled into a murder when he unexpectedly is given a full left arm to keep in his freezer. Where it will sit next to his purple popsicles, which will become the only thing that Yancy will touch after finding cockroaches next to the shrimp. This is the beginning of Yancy and how he tries to wedge his way back into the good graces of the Monroe County Sheriff’s office.

Light & Shade Conversations with Jimmy Page
by

I just finished this and am wanting more! Am a huge Led Zeppelin fan since my days in high schools and love reading anything and everything that deals with not only their music, but the four amazing musicians who made up this larger than life group! As the title suggests, it's about Page, but there are conversations with not only Jonesy, but Jeff Beck and Paul Rodgers from Bad Company! This book will make you want to crank up the entire Zep catalog starting with, 'Good Times, Bad Times,' and continue on the 'Stairway....'

this little gem arrived in my Indispensable along with The Book of Jonas. was unsure about this book, but the stories won me over. Am not a reader of short stories, but LOVED this little collection of stories. Watkins's home state of Nevada plays a huge part of these stories, almost a character along with the others in the stories. this little gem made me want to read more short stories. read this people and you will fall in love with the stories of Claire Vaye Watkins!

omg! i just finished this book and all i can say is wow! this one amazing story of how mother comes to terms with what she was dealt with for kids. it is erie, understanding, heartwarming and heartwreching. i had reread parts of it, espically at the end, i had thought that Eva and Franklin were actually separated, not as one will read the real part. i made me rethink a lot of thigs in life. wow!

Started this book Wednesday and finished it last night. WOW, what an amazing story to read and have it be told from a five year old's perspective at that. Everything has a name, a purpose, and a way to pass the time until Ma and jack decide to make a move. I won't spoil anything for those who havent read it yet. Both Ma and Jack each have to overcome so much from just surviving day to day to new challenges that come their way when their lives change dramatically. This is a must read, it will definitely get to you and you will be amazed at how fast you get through this wonderful and heart-stopping story about hope and overcoming the odds. go read this one, from your fellow reader.

loved this book from the moment i started it. poor golden, trying soo hard to keep everyone happy, fed, and most importantly, attention. I loved all the kids, especially Rusty, who just wanted to have a stake party for his 12th bday and not share it with his father. Also all the wives and how they where trying to vie for his attention as well. and all the secrets, that golden has to hide from the wives from his new job site to univited guest at the end. A great story about a father of 20+ kids who is trying to keep his head above from sinking and keep everyone happy. An interesting and amusing look into the world of mondern day polygamy with an twists all along the way and a bittersweet ending that will have you cheering for this family. a must read in my book!!
