This pleasant story of two very different sisters was full of twists and turns, some of which were predictable - some not. Set in Berkleym CA, it has a modern day Jane Austin sensibility to it. A good read.

Blood Bones & Butter The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef

What a surprisingly great read! I expected the usual chef success story, but was pleasantly surprised to find a tender memoir. This book was not so much a tale of how-I-got-where-I-am today, but a poignant coming of age true story of a woman surviving in the world. You will be surprised!

As a newcomer to yoga practice, I adored this memoir of Dederer's yoga journey. Told with humor, tenderness and self-mocking, this book is not predictable, but full of surprises. Anyone who has tried or enjoys yoga will love this book.
