Discipline Without Tears: How to Reduce Conflict and Establish Cooperation in the Classroom
by
Dreikurs, Rudolf and Cassel, Pearl and Dreikurs Ferguson, Eva

A must-read for every teacher, especially elementary teachers. This book gets back down to the basics of behavior motivation and gives teachers tools to address the source of the behavior. It also gives teachers a vehicle to enlist the help of the students' peers in order to provide feedback and positive reinforcement for behavior change. Dreikurs methods are respectful of children and empower the adult to act in such a way as to support childrens' growth. As a second grade teacher, I highly recommend it as a summer read to get ready for the coming school year.

Amazing story by a very skilled writer. He writes from the dog's perspective like no other author I've ever read. Incredibly engaging plot.
