Prisoner of Heaven
by
Ruiz Zafon, Carlos
Doug Shivers
, August 04, 2012
This book helps to tie together loose ends from Zafon's Shadow of the Wind and The Angel's Game. Although the book is good, it has nothing of the intrigue and suspense of the first two novels.

La Isla Bajo El Mar / The Island Beneath the Sea
by
Isabel Allende
Doug Shivers
, January 01, 2011
Once again Isabel Allende uses her amazing ability to weave a story, this time about a slave in Haiti who moves with her master and his family to Cuba and then to Louisiana in the late 1700's.
