The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure

An old favorite I read again last year - it was so good I read it again this year. This novel is a masterpiece which is a true pleasure to read. If you have not read this classic, do so. The movie is great, but there are good bits from the book that had to be left out. Even the Introduction is a work of art.

Summer Meditations

Vaclav Havel is a leader every country should have. He is a brilliant philosopher, political theorist, and he really has some good ideas. This book was written before his presidency on how he wished to be able to run a country, in many accounts he was successful. He has proved that people of true integrity can bring about peaceful change, win elections and be successful in politics.

City of Pearl: Wess'har Wars 1

I enjoyed reading this book. It has a feel of good old fashioned speculative science fiction. Some well-researched science mixed in with a good dose of 'what if'. There is a good development of main characters for believability and enough action and suspense to create a nice pace. I look forward to reading more in this series

A great book for adults and young adults with a beautiful lyrical writing style that draws you in. This book is an amazing work of art. I have given 'The Book Thief' as a gift many times, and all who have received it, have savored it and read it again and again.
