Torture The Artist
by
Joey Goebel
Clay H
, April 24, 2010
As the title suggests, a most unusual read. The torture is all in "the best interests" of the victim, psychological, not graphic or physical in nature. Represents a unique twist on "tortured artist" theme, in this case, on purpose, by the Editor. Sort of a darkly comic devil, necessary to the creation of "Art". The authors books are internationally acclaimed, collectible, and this one is a fun introduction. A must for anyone who writes, or wants to.

Birds Without Wings
by
Louis De Bernieres

A full scale "Historical" novel with a dash of Magical Realism thrown in. Setting "Oriental" Turkish and Greece, Bernieres develops multiple, colorful characters, you will fall in love with. Touching on issues spanning the whole of the human condition, yet with a simple, direct approach that captures your interest. I couldn't put it down.
