While this book focuses heavily on the US system of student loans, any student can benefit from this comprehensive guide. Every aspect of student loans is covered in detail; how to apply for student financing, the history of student loans in the US, types of loans available, and how to repay them. Much attention is also given to the importance of repaying student loans and the consequences of defaulting on them, how to repay them, and how to establish a positive credit history to be able to lower your interest payments in the future. The author also talks about budgeting, finding a job, adding to your income, and managing credit card debt. If you are thinking of taking out a student loan, or already have one and are trying to pay it off, I highly recommend this book to you. I wish it was available when I was paying off my loans!
