Help Movie Tie In
by
Kathryn Stockett

A real keeper! Lived the way the characters interact and really come to life. Runs the gamut of emotions from laugh out loud to tears running down your face. People who have seen the movie will find that it stays quite true to the written story so I recommend you both read this book and watch the movie. The writing lets you really get to know who each character is and how they are each an integral part if the story. The time period in the book was one of much turmoil and change in our country and is very interesting and thought provoking. I recommend this book wholeheartedly!

Land of Painted Caves Earths Children
by
Jean M Auel

It had been many years since I had read the other books in Jean Auel's series, yet I remembered the characters that reappear in this continuation of her books. Series books have always been my favorite as you get to know the characters intimately and in many different situations, you actually see them grow and experience so many situations. Jean did not disappoint me with this sequel, extremely interesting settings, great imaginative situations and locations. Again, she hit the nail on the head with painting the picture in my head with each page I turned. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the previous books in this series.
