Basque History of the World the Story of a Nation

You only hear whisperings of these amazingly fascinating and deeply marginalized people found at the top of Spain and bottom of France. I found myself blown away by the writers overwhelming respect for these impactful people whom do not receive nearly enough credit for their historic cultural influence. I share all that I have learned with anyone willing to listen. If you want to know more about the Basque people, aside from commercial media's allogations of terrorism, then pick up this book and be amazed. It is a must read for anyone who is intrigued by the origins of human culture and its historical relevance. An insightful look into the Basque heritage free of influence by government or corporate interests.

The Invisible Bridge

Orringer, Julie

I picked this book up by chance, just looking for something different to read, once I started I could not put the book down! Julie Orringer immediately sets you, the reader, on a journey that never fades even when you finish the book. The details she provides makes you believe that the characters were actually alive at this point of history, she writes about, you feel the characters pain, happiness, agony and extreme desparation. I read this book a few months ago and the characters are still with me, calling me to read about their lives again and again.

Well I am part of the Indiespensable listing and this book was the second book I received. I am so glad I was able to obtain this book because on a normal search I would have passed this book by and missed out on an amazing read. This book was a literary work of genius quality! The way the author worked in the different writing assignments and the different emails to tie the story together was brilliant. This book was over 1,000 pages and I completed the book so quickly because it was impossible to put down. I have told so many people to not pass this book up to give it a chance, and it will be unforgettable!
