Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. One Thousand Gifts A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are

This book is poetically written and I find it so easy to read and relate to this woman. She writes honestly and passionately about her journey as a mother and all the ups and downs. I learned a great deal from reading this book...things that have helped me in my daily life...to be happier, more content, and more at peace. I am so thankful I found this book when I did, because I truly needed her and the support she gives through this book. I recommend this book for mothers, especially those with more than one child, but really, I recommend it for anyone looking for a true, workable way to find more happiness in daily life. It's all about gratitude.

Hope Beneath Our Feet

Inspiring and motivating book! Very easy to read when you are super busy because it's written in short chapters, so you can take tiny bites and chew on it until your next spare moment to pick it up again. It is very solution oriented and leaves one feeling hopeful and empowered about the future. Also a great introduction to many authors you may not have read before. Once you read this, you will want to find their other works...it's a great resource for more information and where to look to find out about each individual author and their passions.
