Lion Vrie White Lion Chronicles 2

This is a unique book that took a while to draw me in but had an epic ending. Hopper seemed to have much potential for a good style. There were frequent well-constructed phrases and clever metaphors, but the story was bogged down with many, many typographical errors and frequent confusing sentences. Plot-wise, there were pros and cons. As I stated before, it took me a long time to get drawn into the book; it was nearly the end before I was truly enjoying it. In many ways the plot or characters were annoyingly predictable, but there were a few unique, dramatic moments, moods, and ideas. The ending was unexpected and very intense. I enjoyed this book more than its prequel and I eagerly await the series' final book, Athera's Dawn.

Door Within 03 Final Storm

Wow. This book is great. Enough battles and peril to satisfy the adventure-lover, enough secrets to satisfy the mystery-lover, and enough coolness to satisfy the... well, cool-lover! All around great. Granted, some might see it as "just another fantasy book", but it most certainly has characteristics that distinguish it from others in its genre. For instance, there is an unlikely connection between Earth and The Realm... but I won't spoil that for you. :-D Also, there is a good dose of Biblical allegory, enough to inspire and appeal to Christian readers, yet not so much that the books would be termed "preachy" by most non-Christians. It would still be a marvelous book even without these themes. This is also a welcome addition to the book world because, by almost all standards, it is clean. I have tried many other fantasy tales and been sorely disappointed by inappropriate words and references. This book is emotional, as well. Beloved characters die, yet even in those times, there is hope... I will mention that its main downside would be, in my opinion, the fact that there were a grammar issues that I found distracting. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the plot and characters so much that I still am giving this book all five stars. Mortiwraiths, last stands, shape-shifters, explosions, dungeons, scrolls, fire rock, and a final confrontation between the forces of good and evil as, finally, all warriors from each side amass. Read this book (but first read the others) and read the amazing, complete, emotional, well-planned, unexpected ending of the Door Within Trilogy.

Find all this and more... if you dare to learn of the Rise of the Wyrm Lord. WARNING: As a fellow victim, I feel obligated to inform you: should you reach the end of this book, you will find yourself completely incapable of NOT reading the next one. You might as well order the Final Storm right now.

Isle Of Fire

This book is EXCELLENT. Like its prequel, Isle of Swords, it is full of mystery and danger. Cliffhangers abound. The characters face underwater labyrinths, hurricanes, fire rain, and berserkers, to name a few of their challenges. The characters are unique, the plot takes several surprising twists, and the whole tale is woven together with extreme care. Please try this story; I don't think you will be disappointed!

Isle of Swords

This is an excellent book and it definitely ranks among my top ten. The story is fabulous. The book is stuffed with humor, unique and endearing characters, acres of peril, and the whole thing is saturated in mystery. Secrets shroud the tale. However, the author meters out the answers to those secrets carefully, just enough at a time to satisfy the reader and make him/her come back for more. I have never read books that do this so well. I highly, highly recommend Isle of Swords. Sea monsters, standoffs, pirates, explosions, escapes, duels, incredible treasure and monkeys. I can almost guarantee that this book will be unlike anything you have ever read before.

Berinfell Prophecies 01 Curse of the Spider King

This book is very good. The characters are, in many ways, extremely unique and easy to relate to. The seven main characters come from diverse backgrounds and have enjoyable hobbies, quirks, homes and families. The book is chockablock with humor, mystery, and cliffhangers, and by almost all standards clean. However, the only reason I gave this book just four stars is because I think that the writing style was at times unclear and there a were few grammar issues that I found distracting. Nonetheless, I would consider this book a worthy read.
