The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

Not only is this book interesting, amazing and liberating, the author is a very interesting and intelligent person. I had the benefit of meeting her in the middle of 2012 and she's very passionate about this novel and what it means to the world. It's really an amazing tale that explains so much of the under side of early medical testing and how it has taken advantage of the disadvantaged and still continues to. Great read.

100 Bullets Volume 06 Six Feet Under The Gun

The stakes get higher and higher. As Agent Graves is not only playing a game with the lives of ordinary people, but both the trust and the Minutemen. The complexity grows sharper and finer. Why is Dizzy or any of the other seemingly down on their luck individuals in this series being puppeteered? Furthermore, who is the Puppet Master; who is really in control? Graves or Medici? As the story twists and turns, the plot thickens. This is quite possibly one of the only Graphic novels that can truly get adrenaline pumping.

100 Bullets Volume 05 Counterfifth Detective

This installment doesn't waste any time with sides stories of Grave's "game." It jumps right into the main story of a man who is a detective. He is hired to find a stolen painting. The painting eventually leads him to "The Trust." Where both "The Trust," and the man find they have a lot more in common than they believed. The trust is described in a stronger light and the reader is slowly but surely finding their way through the maze that constitutes this action thrill ride of a series.

Volume four. The reader is finally introduced to "The Trust," Minutemen are popping out of the woodworks, but what exactly is their relationship? And most importantly, why does the Trust believe the Minutemen to be dead? With bodies dropping like flies, Volume four ensures bloodshed, drug smuggling and all the other action filled crazes that makes this series a face paced crime drama that will keep the reader puzzled till the end.

100 Bullets Volume 03 Hang Up on the Hang Low

The third volume of Azarello's 100 Bullets introduces new characters, sub plots that appear to effect the plot in the long run. Not only is the reader now wondering who "The Trust" is, but what are "The Minutemen" ? What happened in Atlantic city, and why wasn't Lono invited? As Agent Graves continues his "Game;" the consequences seem to become more dangerous. In this third volume, characters begin to cross paths as you see the tangled web that has been woven start to intersect. The crime action thriller feel doesn't let it's guard down for a second.

100 Bullets Volume 02 Split Second Chance

The second Volume of Azarello's 100 Bullets brings more into play. This second book begins the main plot line that appears to be covered up by Agent Graves's "Game." What is his agenda and who are "The Trust." This series continues to draw you in, with characters that might remind you of your parents, your neighbor, or simply that guy walking down the street. As the main story picks up, the end of this volume stacks up questions and begins the anticipation of what's to come next. This series is always exciting and reads like a fast paced action thriller crime drama.

100 Bullets Volume 01 First Shot Last Call
by

Gaiman is the man of Lore, Moore the man of plot twists, Azarello masters violence. In this thought provoking series, A man known simply as Agent Graves provides every day people with a Attache' with an untraceable gun, 100 bullets that simply come back from crime labs as "Do not follow up," and irrefutable evidence than someone somewhere was really the cause for the destruction and unhappiness in their lives. This series asks the question "If you could get away with murder, would you?"
