    Elephant Run by Roland Smith
    Jacob.Casey1584, June 10, 2010
What would it be like to live on a teak plantation during WWII in India. This is the best book I have ever read. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure stories. Nick Moved to Burma to live with his dad because his home in England was bombed. In Burma he lives with his father on a tree plantation. The main theme in this story is that family is always there for you. Nick is a 15 year old boy who is craving adventure. This book is filled with action and adventure for example when Nick is mauled by an elephant. The time period that the book takes place is during World War 2. I think this is a book that everyone should read within their lifetime.

    Uglies 01 by Scott Westerfeld
    Jacob.Casey1584, June 09, 2010
Simply, this book was one of the worst books I have ever read. I think that this book was written in an awkward way. This book lacked themes and was not very appealing or exciting to me. The author had a good idea but he simply displayed it in a strange way. I think the author could of easily written the Uglies in, around 200 pages, but the author wrote around 400 pages. Tally, the main character is a young girl who about to turn 18 and get plastic surgery to become pretty, but she is skeptical about it. The book can be very confusing because of the things we are not accustom to in our lives happen in the futuristic setting in this book. This book is not one of the books I would recommend to other readers. Overall this is not a very good book.

Chronicles of Prydain 01 Book Of Three by Lloyd Alexander
    Jacob.Casey1584, June 07, 2010
Best Book Ever!!! If you liked the Lord of the Rings I guarantee you will love this mind captivating book. This story provides great adventure for all ages. This book is very similar to the Lord of the Rings, but there are some differences. For example there is no girl on the adventure in the Lord of the Rings. I think this is a good book because I never know what will happen next. Taran has always wanted to go on an adventure. He was just a normal Middle Ages assistant pig-keeper until everything changed when his prized pig escapes… Taran is a young boy who is getting bored of his simply life at home. He wants to embark on a adventure. A main theme in this story is anyone can become a hero if the situation is right. This is great book for anyone who likes fantasy. The only bad thing about this story is that it is very confusing at times, especially the beginning. This may make you want to read it again to clarify the confusion. Overall this is one of the best fantasy book I have ever read!!!
