Mountain 01 My Side Of The Mountain

My Side of the Mountain, is a great survival story. It's about a boy named, Sam Gribley. Sam runs away in to the Catskill mountains. Sam knows nothing about surviving in the woods, he brings a penknife, a ball of cord, a hatchet, and 40 dollars. In the book he captures, and raises a falcon named, Frightful, he also befriends a weasel named, Baron. This book is in someways like Hatchet. My Side of the Mountain is a great read, for people ages 8 to adult. You will either love or hate the main character, Sam. If you like books about the woods, you will enjoy My Side of the Mountain

Fallen Angels
by

Fallen Angels was a motivating and powerful story. It's a story of survival. Richie Perry is a high school graduate, but because his alcoholic mother can't afford to send him to college. So, Richie enlists in the U.S army. Fallen Angels, has so many themes, in order to get all the themes of this powerful story you would have to read this book many times. Which is not all that bad with a story as good as this one. Richie, wants to be a hero and honor his country, but he and his squad members also want to get out of Vietnam alive. Loss of innocence is one of the themes, in the book. Fallen Angels is not like any other war story, it's not about the killing, blood, or gore. It is much deeper than any other war story. It shows the ugly part of war. This is a great read for anyone above the age of 13, or any war story lovers.

Chronicles of Prydain 01 Book Of Three
by

As a child did you ever wish you could be a hero? In The Book of Three, you read about a young boy named, Taran. Taran is a simple Assistant Pig-Keeper. When the pig he is taking care of runs away, this Assistant Pig-Keeper goes on an adventure that he will never forget about. The Book of Three was a good book, with very intersting characters. You won't forget about some characters like, Eilonway, and Gwydion, just to name a few. It is an adventure/fantasy book. It is great for young adults, and adults. Also, if you liked The Lord of the Rings, then you will like The Book of Three. The Book of Three was a book that depicts life in the middle ages well. It is a good read for middle school kids, and anyone else who want a fantasy to read.
