This is a classic story about a young girl in the Holocaust. There is not much to say about this book, because you have to read it to understand. I loved this book because being interested in history this story taught me a lot about what people had to go through. A lot of people died in the Holocaust, and for a 13 year old girl you could only imagine what it was like. It also teaches about trust, like when her family is hiding in the attic and someone turns them in probably for money, or in order to keep their lives. Back in those times the Jewish were not considered a human, but a number. Everything they had was taken from them, and they died horribly. I recommend this book to all ages 10+ up. It teaches a lot about our history, and might help you understand what our world had to go through, at some time or another.

While I was reading this book, having an older sister a lot of things came to my head. Personally I cried because, this was about a sister hanging on to pretty much nothing. When Amy gets in a car crash it takes the Bennett family all they have to stay a family. This book was very eye opening for those who have siblings. You never know what you have until it is gone. While the girls were at an after party, Amy wants to be the one to drive to the store, and buy some more soda. Eve though it was a rainy day and she just got her license Erin lets her go. This ends in tragic accident and Amy is in the hospital in critical condition. In the second novel of the book Erin and her family have to learn to let go. They have to learn that somethings happen for a reason. It takes faith to get their family back together. This story makes you appreciate what you have.

I thought the Book of Three, was an interesting yet plain book. There were a lot of themes and twists like, anyone can be a hero, or big things come in small packages. Some twists were when Taran meets Eilonwy and they seem to fall in a secret "love". Although it as a very slow read. When you read it, you get a sense of adventure and can create your own characters. This is because, in the book they give you bits and pieces of what the characters look like. So you can interpret who they are in your head. The Book of Three is about an orphan named Taran, a pig keeper assistant; dreaming to be a hero. Once the "special" pig runs away, Taran has to go into the wilderness and find her. On Taran's adventure he runs into many bumps in the road. Along with meeting other "friends" along the way. Throughout this story Taran figures out who he really, a hero.
