Guide to Thomas Aquinas
by
Josef Pieper
artsanchez9109
, September 01, 2011
Thomas Aquinas is one of those historical figures that won't disappear--this is meant in a good way. Pieper, who was himself influenced by the thought of the great Saint and Doctor, writes elegantly and clear. Pieper points out that Aquinas is the type of teacher the reaches deep into the student and moves him/her to seek truth even more! This is one of the great guides to the thought and life of Saint Thomas Aquinas, a man whose wisdom is greatly needed today.

Only the Lover Sings: Art and Contemplation
by
Josef Pieper

Like all of Pieper's books where the formation of sentences and concepts are amazingly done, this small work continues in his style. It is elegant and clear. It makes the lover want to sing to the four winds. Art and contemplation are met in music and music up-lifts the human person to the heights of beauty and splendor. Pieper's book is a most to all who enjoy music and the beauty it contains!Only the lover sings!
