Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)

Finally! Maddow is one of the smartest, honest, and well respected journalist working today, and now she has written a book. Can't wait to read this. I really hope she does a book tour and visits Portland. We love her here!

When She Woke

Amazing and thought provoking look at a dystopian society, where the religious right take total control and there is no separation of church and state. Believable and sympathetic characters in a modernized version of the Scarlet Letter, but with so much more. This will be an Author to watch, as my second favorite choice was Hillary Jordon's first book; Mudbound. Both books are excellent reads.

So cool! Very excited to get this; being big Colin/Decemberist fans, fans of Portland/local businesses (Powell's and Laika), supporters of the arts, and having a daughter at PSU studying to be a author & illustrator! The story looks awesome!
