How We Decide
by
Jonah Lehrer

Do you ever wonder why you think the way you do? This book had me reading, thinking, and sharing with friends. The ideas were accessible and the information that Lehrer imparted was both interesting and useful. After reading this book, I got excited about the topic of thinking and found a rich world of reading. Better than Malcolm Gladwell, but definitely up his alley! If you like thinking and want to know more about it, try this book out.

Hunger Games 01

Suzanne Collins

Yeah, it's young adult and I am not a young adult...but this is a good book. The whole series, Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay tell the tales of a not-so-far away time where a society is obsessed with watching/participating in a violent to the death struggle between children for entertainment purposes. The parallels between the story and current affairs are chilling, these though provoking books give the reader layers of entertaining reading. Go buy it and read it! You won't be sorry!
