Compassion Reflection On Christian Life
by
Henri Nouwen
Corbin
, October 21, 2014
Recently picked up this book and basically couldn't put it down. This was a great examination of what compassion means. Written decades ago, its message is possibly more pertinent in today's world filled with violence, but increasingly connected via advances in technology. These advances make understanding easier, but compassion harder and this reflection by Nouwen et al. is a thought-provoking treatment of this essential human trait.

Wildwood: The Wildwood Chronicles, Book I
by
Colin Meloy
Corbin
, January 01, 2012
This was a wonderfully refreshing read. While intended for teens, it still had me eagerly turning pages. Anyone who has spent time in North Portland will be pulled into the intrigue of the woods that Meloy creates. I highly recommend the book for all ages and I eagerly await the next installment.
