Changes Collegium Chronicles 3
by
Mercedes Lackey

This is an excellent installment in Lackey's Collegium Chronicles series, as well as simply an excellent book. The characters are all in top form, as is the writing. Yes, there are still questions to be answered at the end, but fortunately there is going to be a fourth book to the set, which should wrap things up nicely.

Brother To Dragons Companion To Owls

One of my favourite sci-fi/fantasy books. Great characters and great writing combine to make a totally believable story in a totally believable world that I wouldn't mind visiting for myself, if inter-book travel were possible (as in Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series, perhaps?). All the characters are three-dimensional, and it feels as if you could meet them on any street corner.

One of my favourite humourous fantasy novels, right up there with Good Omens!
