Age of Entanglement
by
Louisa Gilder
James P Briers
, March 20, 2012
Excellent explanation of the conflict between Einstein and Bohr on the details and implications of quantum mechanics. The disagreement between these two giants of Physics was profound and has not yet been totally resolved. The book is full of interesting and divergent personalities. Very good read.

Bomber War The Allied Air Offensive Against Nazi Germany
by
Robin Neillands
James P Briers
, January 09, 2012
An excellent history of the strategic bombing offensive in Europe during WW2. Neillands gives both eyewitness and historian accounts of the bombing of Germany from 1939 to '45. Recounting the many directives, the scientific aspects, and the human costs of this prolonged struggle. He gives a detailed and sober assessment of the conflict and does not shy away from the moral and ethical issues that arise from bombing civilian areas.
