I loved this book. It is warm, loving, sad, courageous, and an overall feel good book. It may help that I like dogs and racing but it worth the read for anyone.

Great book on Cleopatra's children once they were taken to Rome and forced to live in Octavian's household. Selene is a stong girl trying to hold her beliefs and her family together. History and magic are woven together in a tale I could not put down. I hope Stephanie Dray plans a sequel to this book on Selene's adult life.
