In 1987, I entered high school. The ‘80s were in full Benetton bloom, and we all donned the uniforms that would identify ourselves as friend or foe: jock, prep, redneck, punk, geek...

This is a great story, actually everything Kristin Hannah writes is great. I wasn't sure I would be able to read this book because I was hurt by someone I though was my Best friend, this ended up not being the case. This is a great story of two young girls who going thru life together, thru the ups and downs. This story is also about love, lose, finding one self and having a teenage girl. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

This is a wonderful coming of age story about a girl in the early 1900's. The story flashes back and forth between the past and the present day. It is also a great story of lose, happiness and love. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book with a strong female lead and a sweet story.

This is a must read for anyone, not just Christians. I was hook just by reading the forward. Now if that doesn't say " Great book" then I don't know what does. This book is about a guy named Mach who experiences a very traumatic event in his life. Then one day he receives a mystery note from "Papa". From this he has a life changing encounter with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I learn why Jesus died for us, the importance the having a relationship with God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit and most importantly why bad things happens to us. I know this is a work of fiction but it is based on true events, that's what I think. So why don't you read the book and make the decision for your self. Hope you enjoy this amazing book.

Both of my grandmothers have had cancer on their reproductive organs, so this book really hit home. Rebecca Skloot is fabulous writing, she even made the science parts interesting. I normally don't read books like this, only if I had for school. I read it because I wanted to learn about the cells that saved one of grandmothers live. Please read this book, it is very informative, and not text bookie at all, its a true story about a women who made a difference in the world.

There is only one word to describe this book, that would be AMAZING! The story line and the characters and so realist and very well developed. This book is about a young girl who has been searching for a forever family, while going through life in the foster system. When she is freshman in high school she finally finds a home with a great aunt and from there she find her best friend. But in their senior year every thing changes. The event in this book that changes everything is something that I never saw coming. I highly recommend this book and the author. I have also read " Winter Garden" and " Thing we do for love" and they were also amazing.

One of the best books I have ever read. Full of the issues that women are facing during the sixties and more importantly what the Maids of the time where dealing with. It really opened me eye to the issues. The story is so rich and full of heart wrenching and very happy moments. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
