I loved this book. It made me laugh and fall in love and become friends with the characters and cry. It fully entertained me the whole way through and gave me so many little bits to chew over and thoughtfully judge. John Green is an amazingly accomplished writers and Looking for Alaska is one of his best. I absolutely cannot get enough of this book.

Looking for Alaska

John Green persuaded me to give my heart to these wonderful, charismatic characters, then abused it and stomped all over it, but I loved every minute of it. I love John Green and his books. They make me cry, laugh, and ponder about the mysteries of life. He writes some of the best YA novels out there and Looking for Alaska is no exception- it's one of my favorites.

The Art of Racing in the Rain
by
Garth Stein

The insight a dog can add to the world is amazing. I loved seeing how much a dog may be able to see and how they are unable to communicate so much of what they observe. Enzo had a knowledgeable view of the world and wanted so badly to share it with others. I fell in love with Enzo and I cried when the book was finished. I had felt I lost a good counselor in how to see life.

This book is a classic YA romance book, giving you friendship, family problems, and (what else?) love. Macy teaches you how to follow your heart, not others, to be happy and to defy expectations. I love this story so much and I have fallen in love with the unique characters.

Sing You Home
by
Jodi Picoult

I love it!! Picoult manages to face a controversial issue head-on, laying the facts out there, and making you fall in love with the characters and the story. She makes you believe in love, and all that is good. I cannot wait till I have time to read this book again. :)

Into the Wild
by
Jon Krakauer
Tomabob
, August 31, 2012
Krakauer manages to write a wonderfully researched book on the adventure that one young man takes into the wilderness of Alaska. He supplements the story with other people's stories to better illustrate McCandless' thoughts and actions. It was hard for me to put this book down. I knew what happened, yet Krakauer revealed things at an appropriate pace so that you did not get bored as the book went on.

Mother of the Believers: A Novel of the Birth of Islam
by
Kamran Pasha
Tomabob
, August 27, 2012
Pasha managed to beautifully tell the true story of the birth of Islam and the affects it had on those closest to Muhammad and the citizens of the peninsula. He told the story not in a biographical way, but in the way fiction stories are written, yet keeping to the true account.

This is an amazing telling of the story of Esther. Tenney packs it with historical facts to make the story come alive in your mind, drawing you into the book and not letting you put the book down. I have completely fallen in love with the story of Esther through this telling of it. :)

Time Travelers Wife

Audrey Niffenegger

This book is such a sweet love story that it made me fall in love with the characters, the setting, the story. This book brought me so far into the story that I experienced many of the same emotions while reading it. Niffenegger wrote this story so smoothly and so life-like that it was hard to put down at any one moment.

Eragon Move Tie In
by
Christopher Paolini
Tomabob
, August 09, 2012
I thoroughly enjoyed this fantastical story, as it includes dragons, elves, dwarves, and magic continuously throughout the book. It kept me on my toes the whole way through, making me laugh, cry, and scream in frustration. Paolini manages to fit a huge amount of story and action in such a small amount of book. The book flows so quickly and it is so sad when it ends.

Child Thief
by
Brom
Tomabob

This book is very interesting and totally changed my view of Peter Pan (the book this book is "based" off of). It was very twisted and kept me into the book the whole time. It's one of those books where it is so twisted, that you can't just stop reading; you have to find out what happened to all the characters. It is a very intense book about the difference between good and evil, and who man truly is. I truly love this book, despite how twisted and messed up it is.
