Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. On Becoming Babywise Book Two

This book is a MUST for all new parents - it helps moms and dads alike get their new little one's internal body clock set to the right times! This book offers many suggestions for how to do this...I guess you would call it a book that falls in the camp of Scheduling Your Baby...However, like everything else - you read it and take what you want from it and go from there. Use your discretion with what will work best for you and your family. Some people find this to be a horrific idea - that you would "schedule" your baby - but the alternative is a chaotic lifestyle for babies and their families. It is far less rigid and rigorous than the protestors of this idea believe it to be. I used this book and had a baby sleeping through the night (8 hours) by 10 weeks...not to mention, she is totally a flexible sleeper, eater and "player". I would highly reccomend this book for new parents.

This is a totally endearing and heart-warming book! If you have a dog...any kind of dog, but especially a lab - you will laugh your way through this book and relate to the very end. I found myself laughing my way through most of the book and then cried the last 30 pages. It is a must read - a totally light read...perfect for vacation or after a heavy read. Enjoy!
