Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. Whistler: A Biography

A good book is an amazing type of experience, but the ending is always bitter sweet, don't you agree? It's like sitting beside a complete stranger on a plain and making a wonderful friend. However, the plane's wheels return to the ground. They fall away from you, down a narrowing terminal. But, you try to catch up to them to savor a few more pages; perhaps when you reach them, you'll offer a hand with their luggage. You spot them boarding a connecting flight through the thick terminal lounge glass walls that wreak of Windex. You stair at the growing distance between you as the hallow branch of the airport swallows them up. Needless to say, I strongly recommend this book; it made me feel like I new whistler personally. Sure the writer goes into allot of detail on more than one occasion, but it is through the details that one must read to glimpse through the methodical eyes of whistler.
