Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

Greek New Testament Novum Testamentum Graece with Dictionary
by
B Aland

This is the ultimate Greek New Testament for anyone serious about reading in the original language of the NT. The Critical Apparatus which follows the text at the bottom of the page offers discerning insights into what the authors intended to communicate as it contains ever single variation of the text from any of the 10,000+ manuscripts that it is comprised of. I've been reading my Nestle Aland GNT for 6 years now and am so grateful for all I have gained. The dictionary is wonderfully useful and I often prefer it even over my easy Logos app to look up words for the memorization value it rewards my efforts with. I also recommend this 27th ed. over the newly released 28th ed. because the people on the counsel who reason what the original text was has drastically changed since Bruce Metzger's passing. Anyway, go with Nestle Aland 27 (with the dictionary), it's the best Greek new testament out there, I've tried 3 others, it is most superior.
