Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. Well this is one of my favorite books, I read it over and over again, the writing is smooth and it makes you want to be a part of the characters lives and make them feel better, and other times your laughing like crazy. They live in our world, but they can see things that we can't. They can change forms, like werewolves, vampire, warlocks and fairies. And they are protecting us without us knowing that they're there. But in ways it is better than twilight, because they have different supernatural creatures other than vampires and werewolves. But all in all I would say it was a breathtaking book, filled with excitement, mischief, deceit, humor, betrayal, action and romance.

Struck by Lightning is a great book, and it showed me things that should be more important to me in life and how short life is. I would highly recommend it. I could relate to this book a lot. And it made me laugh and smile at times and it made me sad at others. So if someone were to ask me to recommend a good book, I would say Struck By Lightning by Chris Colfer.
