Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)

Dead As
by

I may be a bit biased, what with the fact that I published this title, but Robyn Bateman's DEAD AS is absolutely gorgeous. These stark, beautiful poems perfectly evoke the experience of grief and loss. Assembled with spare, arresting imagery, this chapbook will stick with you a long time after the final page.

ECODEVIANCE: (Soma)tics for the Future Wilderness
by

Listen: I haven't even read the whole thing yet, and I can already tell you this book is crucial, indispensable, beautiful, innovative. I have read (and heard performed live) some of these pieces, and CAConrad's poems continue to delight, to inspire, to expand the possibilities of what writing can be and do. If you have not yet heard CA's performance style, do yourself a favor and go search for "CA Conrad" on Youtube. This is cutting edge poetry. This is poetry to save the world.
