True to form for Stephenson this global romp is almost impossible to put down, even at over 1000 pages. As always, Stephenson combines likable, heroic characters in fascinating situations with a literary flair that distances him from not only other "cyberpunk" novelists, but most fiction writing today. This is peak intrigue served up in healthy, tasty portions. Stephenson at his ever-evolving best.
