My Struggle Book 1
by
Karl Ove Knausgaard
Sarah Lippek
, March 02, 2015
Everyone is talking about Knausgaard's massive multivolume novel. It's been called an autobiography, but it is a novel. The language is vivid and precise, and the story, as much as it resembles the unfolding of mundane detail in one person's life, is underpinned by philosophy and intellectual rigor. Subtle, lyrical, frank, and deeply engrossing. If you've been hesitating, please consider dipping into this stimulating and unique work. It's so much better than you'd anticipate by hearing the words "six volume autobiography."

Gone Away World

A rip-roaring yarn, in the tradition of Brazil and Tank Girl. Scrappy underdogs, conspiracies within conspiracies, evil megacorp henchmen....well-drawn, laugh-out-loud funny, and yeah, heartwarming.
