David & Goliath Underdogs Misfits & The Art of Battling Giants
by
Malcolm Gladwell

One of the most entertaining nonfiction books I've ever read. Gladwell has a gift for putting any idea in a new light you've likely not seen it in before. In David and Goliath is a tremendously convincing argument for the power of the underdog; Gladwell's amazing research and ability to keep the reader entertained throughout ever chapter makes this book a great read for anyone and everyone.

Ender's Game: Ender Wiggin Saga 1
by
Orson Scott Card

Ender's game is a work of genius. This is science fiction like I've never read before- Orson Scott Card creates a complex yet believable world that fascinated and intrigued me. Card's storytelling abilities combined with his mind for the most intricate detail have created a universe that might even give Tolkien's Middle Earth a run for it's money. Whether you are a science fiction buff or completely unfamiliar with the genre, Ender's game is a must-read.

Behind the Beautiful Forevers
by
Boo, Katherine
MM6
, February 16, 2015
Katherine Boo's Behind the Beautiful Forevers is a masterpiece. From the first chapter, Boo created an atmosphere that draws the reader into a world that is most likely completely foreign. She combines eloquent and captivating language with the raw, real, dialect that is common to the people she writes about. This book overflows with death and oppression, but at the same time opens the reader's eyes to the kind of hope we are all searching for. Beautifully written and masterfully researched, Behind the Beautiful Forevers made me want to read every other book Boo has ever written; it's hard to believe this was her debut.
