I LOVE this book, it is one of my favorite classics. A funny, angsty, romance with annoying families, adorable suitors, and the worst(but funniest) proposal in history.

Mara: Daughter of the Nile

Mara Daughter of the Nile is a magnificent book, I have read it multiple times and my opinion of it only grows. It is about a blue eyed slave girl who is dragged into the life of a double agent between Queen Hatshepsut and her brother King Thutmose. To go further would be to provide spoilers but I will say that this book is a great love story and suitable for ages 10 and up.
