"I wanted you to see what real courage is,instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what."~Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird To Kill A Mockingbird is a coming of age novel told from the young perspective of Scout Finch,a tomboy, growing up in the South during the time of The Great Depression. This story taught me about the importance of moral education, good vs evil and also a great chunk of American History as well.To Kill A Mockingbird is simply,a masterpiece,a great american novel, and a memorable historical novel that will benefit any reader's life. I pity the those who have not yet picked up this novel,I pity that they have not been able to meet such marvelous, enchanting characters like Atticus Finch,Scout and Jem,Boo Radley and Tom Robertson. This is the literary the perfect book.

I cried my eyes out from the very beginning of this book, its just so so...sweet,and real...I just can't get over this. What a beautiful book,no one will be sorry for taking the time to read this.People call this a 'Romance' but I disagree,it the characters did fall in love with each other is a sweet realistic sort of way,but there is so much more to the book then just their relationship.Perfect read, not to long, and easy to fly through the pages. Most readers will likely not put this book down until it is finished.

Wow!What can I say? This book was thrilling, scary, heart wrenching, and terrific! The best YA Novel on Aliens!Realistic in ways I wouldn't expect with a strong leading female character who could be compared to Katniss Evergreen from the Bestselling The Hunger Games series.Great Summer read, couldn't put this book down.Just started the sequel and its just as amazing. You've got to read this book!:)

The Book Thief
by
Zusak, Markus

This book is a beautiful piece of art.Markus Zusak should write poetry, the way this book was written was a delight to read.Every book lover should take time to read this and when you finish, watch the movie which is also good. The plot is sad,yet shows the beauty of life. l My only slight problem with this story is that the writing, although beautifully described, was rather distracting and I found it hard to actually concentrate on the story.

Last Survivors 01 Life As We Knew It

This book was, sadly,a bit of a disappointment. When I picked this book up I was thrilled with the idea,a great catastrophe, and the thought of what would change if the moon really was closer to Earth. But the main character,Miranda,I found annoying, and nothing about her character made me like her or care what happened to her next. But,as a survival story,it was an interesting read all in all.I guess I'm mostly disappointed because it could have been so much better.

Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children
by
Ransom Riggs

This book is about 15 year old Jacob.Ever since he was little his Grandfather has been telling him fantastic, mysterious stories about children he used to know with peculiar gifts.A story about a little girl who can float like a balloon,a girl who can make fire come out of her hands, and a boy who is invisible. He also tells about Monsters who were always after the peculiar children. This book I found instantly fascinating,I read the whole book in one day.The book addition is gorgeous! Amazing, thought provoking old photos through out the book.A beautiful silver cover over a red hardback book that says in golden letters under the paper cover, Alma Lefay Peregrine. This book would be great for a child/teen who enjoys scary stories, but not to scary like a horror novel.Just mysterious and a little spooky with a great story plot.Wonderful book, will on my favorite books shelf for years. Can't wait to read the sequel,Hollow City.:)

My kids HATED having to learn Greek Mythology,in school it seems so boring and hard to learn. As soon as I brought this set home though,my daughter sat down and started reading.I couldn't make her put the book down! She kept laughing at different parts of the book and now Greek Mythology is her obsession! What a great way to learn. This box set I couldn't be more happy with, looks great on the bookshelf and the book covers are beautiful.
