The Mars Room

I read The Mars Room from Indiespensable and couldn't put it down which was a pleasant surprise given the subject matter. The book was heartbreaking but really illustrated life in prison and the inequality in the US legal system. It also was a great reminder that prisoners are still humans and mothers protect their children.

This is the first volume from Indiespensable that I haven't really enjoyed since I subscribed. The book was fine, but I just never got to a point where I enjoyed reading it. I ended up reading it because I felt I had to.
