I loved this book. The language and story are gorgeous. I don't understand comments that it was difficult to follow. I'm going on to read more Murakami

Time In Its Flight
by
Susan Schaeffer

Susan Fromberg Schaeffer died this week. I own and have read and re-read all of her novels. Of them all the one I go back to always is Time & Its Flight. It traces one unconventional Vermont family and is extraordinary. If you haven't read her before start with Falling and Anya and go from there. She is a horrible loss.

I've read over the years most if not all of Fraser and in college one of my great theater experience of all time was Pinter at Providence's Trinity Square with the great Katharine Helman so I wanted to read this badly. I found it moving, sad and lovely. My book of the year.
